Bringing Marled Yarn Back!

Bring Marled Back

I did it! I found a mill to work with to create my marled yarn again! I am so excited to get back to creating the product that I set out to make when I started Fully Spun. It took over a year, but thankfully I was able to find a mill to work with that I think will be an amazing fit. I am so excited to work with them! Keep reading to find out what marled yarn is, and how you can order some!
What is Marled Yarn?
If you don’t know, I started Fully Spun 5 years ago and in an effort to create yarn that looks handspun, but is actually made at a mill and therefore more accessible than true handspun yarn. The yarn I created has multiple colors in each strand, and when made into a fabric creates striping gradients and an incredibly dynamic finished look.
I am currently planning on stocking a 3-ply fingering weight base initially via the Kickstarter with a 2-ply DK weight base to come later. I will start with 4 of the existing colorways, 4 pride colorways, and 4 completely new colorways. If the Kickstarter reaches stretch goals there will be more colorways available. If you’d like to see what some of the previous colorways look like, you can see them here. Each fingering weight skein will be 50g, 75% SW Merino 25% Nylon, and 220 yds.
Why a Kickstarter?
Quite honestly, I need the help. I would like to start with a meaningful amount of inventory and colorways, and be able to provide yarn to my Stockists across the country so you can shop locally in addition to online. The past year and a half has been hard on everyone, and I can't make this happen without your help.
Give me details!
Okay okay! Thank you in advance, I appreciate the support of each and every one of you and I am excited to bring joy into your lives through color and the magic of making. The kickstarter will open in late September and we'll have less than a month to reach the goal! Want to find out more? Sign up for the email list and check out our Instagram where I will give more details on the rewards and sharing more information about what colorways will be available.
